About you
A honest, passionate and reliable person who loves contributing yourself to health care industry. Successful candidate is subject to satisfactory interview process and reference check. In addition, police check, NDIS screening check and work with children check is required.
The qualifications you have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in ageing support or equivalent
- Covid19 Digital Vaccination Certificate or Immunisation Statement
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle (desirable)
Your contribution
As a qualified disability support worker, you serve our NDIS participants with your kind heart. We are working as a team to safeguard and support our participants to achieve their desired life goals.
Your scope of practise and responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Building rapport with participants, empower them to pursuit their goals.
- Provide personal care in accordance with the participant’s preference and needs.
- Supported independent living in a shared or individual living arrangement.
- Assist with household task
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Community access and transport
- Act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination and decision-making in accordance with applicable laws and conventions.
- Respect the privacy of people with disability.
- Provide supports and services in a safe and competent manner, with care and skill.
- Act with integrity, honesty and transparency.
- Promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that may impact the quality and safety of supports and services provided to people with disability.
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence against, and exploitation, neglect and abuse of, people with disability.
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct.
